Mexican e-scooter startup, Grin, accepted into Y Combinator

E-scooters are a hot market in the US, with valuations rising quickly. Grin, Mexico City-based startup that makes e-scooters for the Latin American market, is showing that electronic scooters are not just for the US market.

Founded in just April 2018, Grin has already raised a seed round from investors such as 500 Startups, Liquid2 Ventures, monashees, and Sinai Ventures. The startup was recently accepted into the Y Combinator accelerator in Silicon Valley to help develop the shared e-scooter model for the Latin American market.

The co-founders told Axios that they started Grin after missing out on investing in the US e-scooter market, whose valuations have skyrocketed recently.
