Facebook announces acceleration program for 10 social impact startups in Brazil

In Brazil, Facebook has paired with Artemisia, a local social impact accelerator, to mentor and support ten social impact startups across seven areas during the second half of 2018. These startups focus on employability, civic engagement, education, early childhood, health, microentrepreneurship and financial services for Brazil’s lower income citizens.

At least one startup from each topic was chosen, and three were chosen from the area of health. Cloud.ia, Nindoo, and Vittude are bringing technology into medicine in Brazil, using chatbots, online platforms, and new forms of medical testing. The other startups chosen include: ParafuzoEgalitêColab, EduSim, Canal Bloom, MEI Fácil, and Blu 365.

The startups will be housed at Facebook São Paulo’s Hack Station during their acceleration, where Facebook will support training programs for the founders through their local partners.
