Colombian HR startup, Globalwork, raises funding from 500 Startups

LatAm ListGlobalwork uses artificial intelligence to optimize hiring processes for large companies (300+ people) with high turnover. The startup, founded in 2017 by Sebastian Henao, recently received a US$60K investment from 500 Startups while the team participates in the accelerator.

Using a software, combined with home visits from over 150 psychologists, Globalwork predicts how well a candidate will adapt to their new workplace to decrease turnover. The idea for the company came from Senao’s father, who worked in the Colombian government during the 1990s and realized the importance of being able to hire trustworthy people.

Since it was founded, Globalwork has reviewed over 75,000 applications for companies like SmartFit, Grupo Corbeta, and Grupo Orbits. They plan to expand to Chile and Mexico during 2019.
