WeWork competitor Knotel expands into Brazilian market

LatAm List – New York-based coworking company, Knotel, has been planning a competition strategy with omnipresent WeWork since it was founded three years ago. Now the company, which offers short-term offices for companies worldwide, is expanding out of North America to Brazil, Latin America’s largest startup ecosystem.

Knotel already has 16 locations in São Paulo and plans to expand to Rio de Janeiro this year. Brazil’s market for offices is growing rapidly as international companies look to establish themselves in this massive economy.

To date, Knotel has raised US$160M and manages offices in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin.
