Brazil’s idwall raises $10M from Qualcomm

LatAm Listidwall, a Brazilian startup which develops automated solution for identity validation and fraud prevention, recently raised $10M from Qualcomm Ventures along with ONEVC, Canary, Monashees, and Grupo Globo.

The startup uses face recognition, data analysis, and machine learning to streamline checks. Currently, Loggi, 99, Movida, the Banco Original, Cielo, and OLX use idwall to verify their employees and customers’ identities.

“Brazil has the potential to be a producer of global artificial intelligence solutions,” said Alexandre Villela, Qualcomm Ventures Managing Director for Latin America. “Our goal in investing in companies like idwall is to enable and accelerate the development of these businesses and make them technology exporters, advancing in the field of artificial intelligence.”
