LatAm ListDidi Chuxing Tech., a Chinese mobile transportation platform, recently incorporated taxi services into its application in Bogotá, Colombia. More than 5K taxis will form part of the company’s fleet.

“We started off as a taxi platform seven years ago. We were created as a tech solution that helps taxis compete one-on-one with emerging technologies. We understand the issues that the industry faces and know that with the 20K driver-partners that we currently have in Express and the 5K taxis that are available as of today, we are contributing to making technology available to everyone,” said Jayden Zhu, Didi’s International Expansion Manager.

Globally, DiDi registers over 1.1B trips through the DiDi Taxi service and partners with more than 700 taxi companies all over the world.

DiDi also announced that DiDi Express will be available in Barranquilla, Medellín, Cali, and Bucaramanga.
