Uruguay’s Gurucargo to be acquired

LatAm ListGurucargo, Uruguay’s leading digital freight platform, is in the process of being acquired by an unnamed regional player. Gurucargo founder, Ale Esperanza, announced the news on his Medium blog in early 2020. 

Gurucargo facilitates freight management by providing an efficient digital solution with affordable tariffs, transparent prices, and realtime tracking of parcels.

The company is the biggest player in freight logistics in both Brazil and Uruguay and is also active in multiple other countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, and Argentina.

Gurucargo’s main offices will be moved out of Uruguay as a result of the exit.
