Brazil’s Noknox launches COVID-19 platform to help vulnerable groups

LatAm ListNoknox, a Brazilian home software and technology startup, created a new platform to aid those most vulnerable in Brazil during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online platform “Vizinho do Bem” (“Good Neighbour”) connects vulnerable people with community volunteers who will help with basic tasks and keep these groups safe in their homes. The aim is to reduce the number of people on the streets and slow the spread of the virus.

Anyone can register on the platform by entering their address, phone number, and other details, in order to connect with volunteers nearby. Volunteers are able to coordinate with their person via WhatsApp to help with shopping, collecting medicines, and other essentials.

The platform recommends that strict personal hygiene rules are met by both volunteers and customers to further reduce the spread of COVID-19.
