Ainwater, a Chilean startup focused on improving wastewater treatment efficiency with technology, raised $537K in a pre-seed round led by Südlich Capital. Grupo Imagine, Buildtech Ventures, Arpegio, and angel investor Brian Oduor also participated in the round.
Ainwater will use the funds to strengthen operations in Mexico and Brazil while supporting Ainwater’s expansion into Colombia and Spain later this year.
Founded by Camilo Huneeus, Marcos Pérez, and Martín Concha, Ainwater provides real-time optimization and monitoring solutions for wastewater treatment plants. Their technology allows clients to predict plant behavior and make data-driven decisions.
Ainwater is running a proof-of-concept program in Colombia and partnering with Spain’s Cajamar Innova to launch a wastewater treatment pilot by late 2024. Depending on the results, it plans to start operations and appoint a country manager in Spain in early 2025.
