LatAm List – Atexto, a Mexico City-based machine learning startup, recently raised $500K from Redwood Ventures and follow-on investors Avalancha Ventures and Dux Capital, among others. The company was founded by Argentines Brenda Mana Pastrian and Esteban Gorupicz.
Atexto helps companies train voice and chatbots for speech recognition and offers its services in Spanish, English, and, soon in six other languages.
According to Markets Insider, the global voice recognition market is expected to grow to $27B by 2025 with a 17.2% annual growth from 2019-2025 as different industries discover the benefits of using AI in their communications.
