B4Waste secures $2M after a fivefold increase in sales

B4Waste, the Brazilian food tech that offers products close to expiration at attractive prices to prevent food waste, secured a $2M round.

By rescuing products from disposal, the food tech helps reduce carbon emissions and generates tangible financial benefits for companies.

“Creating sustainable and groundbreaking solutions in the conservative food retail market is rare. We’re proud of our digital ecosystem, which tackles 12% of greenhouse gas emissions from waste, potentially generating carbon credits for our partners,” said Luciano Kleiman, founder and CEO of B4Waste.

B4Waste operates in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte and collaborates with over 130 supermarkets.
