Brazilian startup VAAS (Virtual Asset Analytics & Security), which specializes in monitoring pix & crypto transactions, secured $2M in a pre-seed round. ABSeed Ventures led the investment. Fuse Capital and Honey Island by 4UM also participated in the round.
VAAS helps financial institutions monitor payments and transactions to prevent financial fraud. With blockchain technology, VAAS cross-references on-chain and off-chain data, enabling real-time monitoring of cryptocurrency and pix transactions and automatically blocking suspicious transactions.
“There is an increasing demand for transactional monitoring. With this investment, we will work toward offering a strong security solution for Brazilian financial institutions” explained Gustavo Tremel, CEO.
VAAS plans to develop new products and further integrate artificial intelligence into its proprietary transaction monitoring solutions.
Vaas was founded in 2022 in Florianopolis by Gustavo Tremel, Daniel Smolenaars, and Paulo Orione, who had previously co-founded and exited a company called Decora.
