Colombian fintech FinMaq raised $6.5M in a Series A round led by Accion, with participation from Mundi Ventures and existing investors ALIVE Ventures and 30N Ventures. The round follows FinMaq’s $29M funding round in January 2025.
Founded in 2014, FinMaq provides machinery and equipment financing to small businesses and independent workers in Colombia. Through partnerships with equipment distributors, the company offers loans, leasing with purchase options, and aftersales services. Its digital platform uses credit assessment models to serve customers with limited or no credit history.
FinMaq will use the funds to expand into new business segments in rural and urban areas. Over the next 18 months, the company aims to surpass $200M in cumulative loan disbursements and serve more than 5,000 additional customers.
To date, FinMaq has disbursed approximately $100M. According to an independent survey by 60 Decibels, 72% of its customers financed equipment for the first time through FinMaq, while 83% reported increased productivity after purchasing equipment.
