Cornershop and UberEats launch into Florida

LatamListCornershop and UberEats launched into four cities in Florida through a partnership with Southeastern Grocers (SEG). SEG is the first supermarket chain to be associated with the Uber in Florida.

“Uber Grocery, with a little help from us at Cornershop, launched a new partnership with SEG in Florida,” wrote Oskar Hjertonsson on Twitter.

The four cities are Miami, Orlando, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville. Customers are now able to order products from shops such as Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Más via the UberEats app.

UberEats launched its delivery service in the state earlier this year, and reported a 197% increase in demand, due to the restrictions of the global pandemic.

“We are constantly communicating with our customers to quickly adapt to changing needs. They now need easy and safe access to their products,” said Adam Kirk, Senior VP of Marketing for Southeastern Grocers.
