Databits raises $600K in pre-seed for Data & AI training

Databits, an Ecuador-based online education platform specializing in data science and AI, secured $600,000 in a pre-seed round. 

A group of institutional investors and family offices from Latin America and the United States contributed to the funding, including 500 LatAmBuentrip HubStonks FundBVCTelefunken CapitalCREAS Ecuador, and Winnipeg Capital.

Founded in 2019 by Fernanda Aldrette and Fernanda Huilca, Databits offers individual courses and full programs focused on solving technical and business challenges in industries like banking and retail.

“All these projects aim to continue carrying out our mission of strengthening the data culture in Latin American companies and preventing them from falling behind in the adoption of technologies that could greatly benefit them,” says Fernanda Aldrette, CEO and co-founder of Databits.

Databits has shown a monthly growth rate of 35% and a customer recurrence rate of 88%. The company aims to add 5,000 new users over the next year and solidify its presence in key Latin American markets.
