LatAm List – DILA Capital, a Mexican VC firm, is supporting its portfolio companies with various financial efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The firm is committed to helping with the necessary aid to companies during this time, whether that be with financial support or advice, and to help the country get back on its feet in the following months.
DILA Capital received offers from various partners who wish to support the firm and its companies. Startups in the company’s portfolio have also been working in innovative ways to help Mexico during this time;
- Kushki – the digital payment platform has joined with NGOs in various Latin American countries to support SMEs with financial payments.
- Incode – the biotech is working with the Centre for Control and Prevention of Infectious Diseases on the COVID-19 testing process.
- BeweHome – the startup is providing a free platform to allow SME employees to continue working from home.
- Urbvan – the transport startup is offering its vehicles to essential workers on their daily commute.
- Crehana – the edtech is offering free online courses through its #yoaprendoencasa campaign to allow people to continue learning at home.
- Grupo Carolo – the online ready meal store is offering lower prices on its produce.
- Kinedu – a startup for new fathers is premium memberships free during the quarantine.
