LatamList – Nuvemshop, a leading e-commerce platform, announced a $90M Series D funding round led by Accel. ThornTree Capital, Kaszek, Qualcomm Ventures, and several angel investors also participated in the round.
Nuvemshop (Tiendanube in Spanish-speaking countries) is an e-commerce platform that powers around 80,000 online merchants across Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. The platform incorporates payments, shipping, inventory management, marketing strategies, and more to provide merchants with the best platform for launching and growing their businesses.
“Latin America is a vast market, filled with talented entrepreneurs, yet many lack the tools and resources needed to thrive,” said Santiago Sosa, co-founder, and CEO. “Our aim with Nuvemshop is to reduce these barriers to entry for entrepreneurs.”
In the past year, Nuvemshop raised $30M, tripled its customer base, and reached $85B in total sales. The investment will enable the platform to continue to improve its technology and payment solutions for merchants. The company is also looking to expand operations to Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
