Fintech Stori raises $200M Series C

Stori, a Mexican fintech, raised a $200M Series C funding round co-led by GGV Capital and GIC. Additional investors included General Catalyst and Goldwater Capital, plus existing investors.

Stori is a leading fintech in Mexico, serving more than 2 million Mexicans with digital finance and credit card services. The platform already has a global presence with offices in Mexico, Washington DC, and Asia.

“Stori is a perfect example of an experienced team bringing a global mindset to solve a huge local challenge. They are using technology to change the lives of hundreds of millions of mass-market and middle-income consumers,” said Hans Tung, Managing Partner at GGV Capital.

Alongside the $200M equity funding, the company also raised $75M in-depth financing from Community Investment Management (CIM).

Stori will use the new funding to invest in the Mexican market and launch new products. The platform aims to triple its size as it continues to serve underserved consumers in Latin America.
