LatAm List – Gorila Invest, a Brazilian fintech recently raised $8.4M (R$35M) from Ribbit Capital, a US fund that invests globally in disruptive fintech startups like Nubank and Guiabayment. Monashees and Iporanga also participated in the startup’s first round of investment.
Through Gorila, investors can view all their investments in one place, which is useful for those with more than one broker or bank account and multiple financial investments.
With this new funding, Gorila will expand its team and invest in product development.
“Our main goal is to invest in the product to deliver the best possible solutions to our customers. For that we want to double the team,” said Guilherme Assis, Gorila’s co founder and CEO.
Gorila currently has 40,000 users and controls more than $1.20B (R$5B) through its platform.
