Chilean-born HealthAtom (Dentalink-Medilink) raised a $10 million Series A led by Kayyak Ventures, with participation from FJ Labs, Soma, Amador, Taram and a (number) of angels. The company wants to continue its expansion in Latin America and create a unique platform of technological solutions to improve the quality and access to healthcare for people, which is a major problem throughout LatAm.

HealthAtom is a SaaS company for the management of health care providers. With its technological platform, clinics can be interconnected with the health and financial ecosystem to offer their patients better health coverage, payment and financing options. Healthatom, hand in hand with clinics and medical centers, seeks to move from serving 42 million patients a year through its solutions to 300 million a year, to improve access to quality healthcare around Latin America.

“We are at the point where the sales tension occurs, at an information level,” said co-founder and CEO Roberto León in an interview with TechCrunch. “It is a tool that could transcend beyond the SaaS and transform us into a technology solution that has the whole ecosystem integrated to increase the transparency of health processes.”

This capital injection will be allocated to incorporate integrated payments into its software, form partnerships with insurance companies and develop a patient loan program.

With more than 120 employees, through their software Dentalink and Medilink, HealthAtom processes more than 42 million medical appointments per year in more than 20 different countries, helping more than 7000 clinical centers and health professionals to optimize their clinical and administrative processes.
