Healthtech Carecode raised a $4.3M pre-seed round

Brazilian healthtech Carecode raised a $4.3M pre-seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz and QED, with the participation of Endeavor Catalyst, KDX Ventures, K50 Ventures, Latitud Ventures, and individual investors like Nubank’s co-founder David Vélez.

Carecode provides healthcare companies like hospitals, clinics, and labs, with an AI agent for WhatsApp that reads both audio and text messages and manages patient journey by scheduling, following-up, and sending payment reminders, reducing healthcare companies’ costs related to operational tasks.

“We tend to think that only the moment with the doctor is what matters, but after having spent 10 years in healthcare I realized that those moments [around the appointment] are as important as the medical appointment,” said Carecode’s co-founder CEO Thomaz Srougi.

Founded in 2024 by dr.consulta’s founder Thomaz Srougi and former Zé Delivery and BEES Bank CTO Pedro Magalhães, Carecode has one client and is testing its product in other potential clients.
