US-based tech startup Howdy.com announced the acquisition of Brazilian tech recruiting marketplace GeekHunter. This strategic move aims to bolster Howdy.com’s talent acquisition offering in Latin America.
Jacqueline Samira, CEO of Howdy.com, emphasized the growing demand for tech talent in the US as a key driver for this acquisition.
GeekHunter, founded in 2015 by Tomás and Celso Ferrari, operates a platform with over 13,000 registered companies and 400,000 candidates. The platform specializes in recruiting professionals such as developers, data scientists, designers, and product managers who possess English proficiency and are aligned with US time zones.
With a presence in various Latin American countries, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay, Howdy.com remains committed to welcoming new talents to its team.
