LatamList – iClinic, a Brazilian healthtech, raised an undisclosed Series B funding round from SoftBank, the venture capital giant.
iClinic is a SaaS healthtech, providing patient-management software to independent doctors who do not have access to a large body of administrative staff. The platform offers marketing and billing services to manage finances, appointment management software, and an online health records system. iClinic also launched a telemedicine service when the global pandemic began.
The startup currently serves 22,000 independent doctors, which it aims to grow significantly in the coming years. iClinic will use the investment to scale the business and add more features to the platform, such as an online marketplace and more financial services.
“In the next two and a half years, we want to have 100,000 customers. The goal is to end 2020 with a third of that number,” said Felipe Lourenço, CEO at iClinic.
The startup is also looking to partner with other healthtechs in the region, such as Memed, and potentially make three acquisitions before the end of the year.
