LatamList – Guros, a Mexican insurance startup, raised a $6.8M seed round led by F-Prime Capital and Cometa. Other investors included ClockTower, Insurify, Leap and Magma Partners.
Guros is a digital vehicle insurance marketplace transforming the insurance experience. The digital platform, powered by API, allows customers to compare different insurance providers and choose the best one to fit their needs.
Guros offers insurance from eight different providers to give customers the best range of options. The platform already counts various Latin American unicorns such as Kavak and Creditas among its clientele, and plans to expand into medical insurance soon.
“Before Guros, insurance companies focused only on selling the insurance. We have created a digital service completely centered on the user experience,” said Juan Gironella San Juan, CEO of Guros.
The new funding will allow the company to strengthen its presence in the Mexican market and improve the platform for a smoother user experience.
