Brazilian startup Jobecam received $408K from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Lab). Jobecam was chosen as one of the 11 startups for IDB Lab’s AI initiative, which aims to reduce prejudice and discrimination.
The money will enhance the platform and consolidate the company in Brazil.
“With the help from IBD Lab, we will increasingly guarantee an always fair technology. Our role is to offer technology to humanize recruiting and selection processes using solutions in favor of the abilities that truly matter – rather than physical characteristics, genre, sex, color, race or origin,” said Cammila Yochabell, Founder and CEO of Jobecam.
Jobecam is an HRTech that focuses on reducing biases present in recruiting processes. The startup’s platform enables companies to access anonymized resumes and conduct anonymous interviews (live or pre-recorded).
