Brazilian fintech Jota has raised a $30M Series A at an $185M post-money valuation. The round was led by Haun Ventures. HOF Capital, Alter Global, and Greyhound Capital also participated.
Jota offers a digital account that combines banking services with conversational AI through its app and WhatsApp. Users can make payments by text, voice, or photo, receive money through QR codes, and ask the AI assistant to generate financial reports, calculate cash flow, and provide other business insights.
With the funds, Jota will launch an integrated lending product that provides credit when customers need liquidity and Jota 3.0, a more proactive AI agent with a subscription model for power users. The company also plans to expand its AI tools for financial management.
Jota serves 300,000 users and expects FalaTap to grow its user base to nearly 1,000,000.
