LinkedIn to open second Latin American office in Mexico City

LatAm List – Mexico is one of the most important Spanish speaking markets worldwide, and also the second-largest market for LinkedIn outside of Brazil in Latin America. The expansion of LinkedIn into Mexico is scheduled for July 2020 and will be an opportunity for further growth for the social media company, especially business and strategy development.

LinkedIn’s Senior Director, Milton Beck, spoke of the benefits of being closer to some of their more important clients based in Mexico, such as AeroMexico and BBVA. Mexico is home to some 13 million LinkedIn members of their 92 million worldwide.

“With the opening of this office we hope that the company will confirm its presence in the country, given that Mexico is one of the most important markets for the LinkedIn network,” added Beck. “In being closer to these clients, it will be easier for us to help them to make use of the newest business technologies and strategies.”

The new offices in Mexico City will help the company to create more Spanish content, considering that Mexico currently accounts for 25% of the Spanish speaking population.
