Brazilian cashback company Méliuz acquired 19.4% of CRM startup Zoppy for $561K. As part of the deal, Méliuz can purchase more of Zoppy in 2026 and acquire the whole operation in 2029. The strike price will be determined by metrics of 2025 and 2029 financial statements.
On Méliuz’s platform, users earn cashback rewards when shopping through affiliated retailers. Zoppy offers SMEs a tool to analyze customer data and automate post-sale strategies, such as client rewards and personalized communication.
“Méliuz has a customer base that is eager to purchase and get rewards. Zoppy has several brands that want to boost customer loyalty and are ready to offer benefits. Our idea is to combine forces to create a new product,” said João Machado, Zoppy’s Co-Founder and CEO.
Founded in 2022, Zoppy has over 500 SMEs using its platform and has reached 3.7M Brazilians.
