ReStudio raises $1.4M Series A for construction solutions

LatamListReStudio, a tech startup in the mining industry, raised a $1.4M Series A from ChileGlobal Ventures’ CLIN fund and Fondo Sudamerik.

ReStudio develops tech solutions to optimize construction and mining work. The startup’s technology includes a 3D laser that accurately records the precise measurements of buildings. The laser has recorded 300 national buildings and enabled complete restorations of 50 buildings.

“The capital raised in this round will finance our projects for the coming year and for 2021, as well as continued development of our digital technology which we are using in industrial plants, mines, tunnels, and bridges,” said José Tomás Olivares, CEO at ReStudio.

Most recently, ReStudio embarked on a government project set forward by the Ministry of Public Works. ReStudio is working to introduce innovative BIM and “digital twin” tech solutions across eight sites in Central and Northern Chile.

The CLIN fund from ChileGlobal Ventures is supported by Engie Factory, Entel, and Zoma Capital. The fund supports between 20 and 25 early-stage startups working with technology that promotes the sustainable use of natural resources.
