Stori, a Mexican fintech specializing in credit cards, obtained approval from the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) to acquire the license of Sofipo MasCaja.
The license will help Stori expand its offerings beyond credit cards and provide savings accounts and investment products to its customers.
“After two years of operations, we have learned from our artificial intelligence and Big Data models that we can better serve our customers by offering them an account for deposits from which we can offer them other types of products,” said Salomón Woldenberg, Head of Public Policy at Stori.
The Sofipo landscape includes 38 entities and more than 10M customers.
