Teachy, a Brazilian edtech company, secured a pre-seed investment of $1.6 million, led by NXTP, with participation from Roble Ventures. The company will use the funds to grow its development team and enhance its AI-powered platform that helps school teachers streamline tasks outside the classroom.
We want to be the teacher’s best friend, making their life easier and optimizing their time so they can focus on classroom work and building relationships with students,” says Fábio Baldissera, Teachy’s CTO.
Research shows teachers in Brazil spend an average of 20 hours a week on job-related activities outside of working hours. Teachy enables teachers to create exercise lists, correct questions, and make custom lesson plans, reducing the time spent by up to 80%.
The platform has undergone testing with more than 100 teachers across various schools in Brazil. Currently, users can join for free with limited functionality or pay a monthly subscription plan for full access.
