Trybe raises $26M for online tech training platform

Trybe, an online tech school, raised a $26.2M (R$145M) Series B funding round led by Base Partners and Untitled. Other investors include IP Inc., Global Founders Capital, Endeavor Scale Up Ventures, Verde Capital, Luxor Capital Group, and Hans Tung, managing partner at GGV.

Trybe offers a range of online courses in computing, tech, and website management. Customers can sign up for 12 month plans or simply choose one course to apply to.

The platform currently serves around 2,200 students and aims to reach 3,000 by the end of the year. Students develop high skills in data knowledge, algorithms, and software such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python.

“Trybe is transforming the way education is offered in the region, reducing the distance between students and non-technology entrepreneurs,” said Eduardo Latache, general partner of Base Partners.

Trybe will use the new funding to further develop its training platform, specifically the Web Development, Data, and Cybersecurity courses.
