LatAm List – U-Planner is a Chilean software that helps universities optimize their resources and develop predictive models that improve outcomes for their students. The company already operates in top universities in 12 countries around the world, including the University of Washington, Chile’s Universidad Católica, and Mexico’s Autónoma Nacional.
U-Planner recently raised a US$5M round led by Scale Capital, through their Amérigo fund. This round was the biggest to be raised by a Chilean startup this year.

With this investment, we will push even harder to reach our goals and create a scalable and sustainable social impact,” said CEO Juan Pablo Mena.
The international education summit, enlightED, also recently recognized U-Planner as the best company developing tech solutions for higher education. Founded six years ago, U-Planner has received recognition from several organizations, including Microsoft and CORFO.
They have offices in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, each led by one of U-Planner’s cofounders.
