Argentine VC firm Alaya invests in startups from Argentina, Chile, and US

LatAm List – Despite the recession and recent elections in Argentina, Alaya Capital Partners, an Argentine venture capital firm, recently made an undisclosed investment in four startups from Buenos Aires, Chile, and the US. Among these startups are Aquabyte, Inti Tech, and Entelai

“It’s very complicated for an investor to decide to put their money in this context; in addition to the economic problems, it’s not clear if policies that promote investment in entrepreneurship will continue,” said Luis Bermejo, Alaya Capital Partners Managing Partner.

Along with funding, Alaya Capital Partners also provides mentorship on regional and global growth.

The fund is currently raising its second fund valued at $20M with Chile’s Corporación de Fomento (Corfo).
