Sixteen startups presented their pitches at the Start-Up Chile Generation 19 Demo Day at Bridge Cowork in Santiago, Chile yesterday. The event, sponsored by BCI and Transbank, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate partners of the Chilean startup ecosystem to learn about the next generation of founders to graduate from the prestigious accelerator.
The companies represented the full gamut of cutting-edge technologies in the market today, including artificial intelligence, cloud technology, e-commerce, and online payments solutions. Winning startups were presented with a check from BCI, and five startups were chosen for follow-on funding from Start-Up Chile.
Here were the three winning startups from Start-Up Chile’s G19 Demo Day:
Kokomo (3rd Place): An all-in-one solution for small businesses looking to create subscription box services.
Mapoteca (2nd Place): Provides business intelligence for the energy sector by analyzing satellite imagery through their own GIS Cloud.
Observe Technologies (1st Place): An artificial intelligence platform to optimize fish farming by helping farmers make smarter decisions about feeding.
