Colombian Vozy, the leader Voice AI Platform in Latin America raised a $5 million Pre-Series A round. The investment round — which is part equity ($4 million), part debt ($1 million), brings Vozy’s total raised to $8.1 million.

The round was led by European fund GoHub Ventures, a Spanish fund with experience in Deep Tech, with participation from Starling Ventures, SaxeCap, angel investors Arash Ferdowsi – founder of Dropbox-, Alan Rutlegde and previous investors Globant and Enlaces.

Vozy has positioned itself as the leading Voice AI solution in LatAm through the development of a technological infrastructure based on 3 products or layers: Lili, the conversational assistant, Speech Analytics for conversation analysis and Voice Biometrics for user identification. With its platform, the startup serves over 150 corporate clients in more than 16 countries. With a  250% growth per year, Vozy’s goal is to reach 100 million interactions and conversations with users, and improve the efficiency of the customer service up to 40%.

Arash Fedowrsi, Dropbox Founder: “I love the Vozy team’s commitment to understanding and amplifying the voice of the customer. Their use of artificial intelligence and natural language processing is both impressive and much needed to improve the quality of customer support.”

The new capital will fuel Vozy’s expansion into Spain and the US, scale the company’s R+D and global brand strategies, and strengthen channel partnerships.

The startup previously raised an $800K round from Ark Fund, 10X Capital Fund LLC, Magma Partners, SC Angeles, Wayra Telefónica, Andeo Capital, and various other angel investors in September 2020.
