LatAm List – During the annual Consumer Technology Association (CES) meeting in Los Vegas last week, US-based influencer marketing platform, Izea Worldwide, made public its intention to acquire Colombian counterpart, Fluvip Ventures. Izea officially signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire the startup, which was one of Colombia’s top-ranked digital projects in 2016.
In mid-2018, Fluvip raised a US$4.5M Series A round led by The Venture City, Velum Ventures, and Grupo Cisneros. Fluvip already has offices in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Peru, and Spain.
“This deal brings together the most important influencer marketing platform in the US with the leading platform in Latin America. The resulting company will be well-positioned to serve huge brands and agencies in both regions, which will eventually establish the software and service infrastructure for an even larger global expansion,” said Alfonso Gómez Palacio, director of Telefónica Hispam North.
