Increase is an Argentinian fintech startup that helps businesses integrate various income sources so they can track and monitor their sales via credit and debit cards. On March 28th, 2018, the Increase team had the opportunity to pitch at Google for Entrepreneurs‘ Demo Day, receiving the Game Changer Award and US$250K in investment.
The competition provided an arena for 11 startups from across the Americas to pitch in front of some of Silicon Valley’s top investors. Only two Latin American startups presented, including Increase and a Mexican data startup, Unima. Increase was able to participate due to a nomination from AreaTres, the Buenos Aires coworking space where they have their office.
Their first product, the IncreaseCard, already has more than 20,000 users in Argentina. This is not Increase’s first work with Google; this year, they organized the first Launchpad Start Fintech with Google Developers and A3, to create a five-day intensive program for 14 startups. In 2017, Increase was the only Argentine company to participate in Google’s fourth Launchpad Accelerator Program in San Francisco.
Increase is the only Latin American fintech to be certified as a B Corp. It was founded by Matías Doublier and Sebastián Cadenas in 2014, and bootstrapped until they received funding from Wayra and NXTP Labs.
