LatAm List – This year’s winner at the Seedstars Global Competition was Federico Hernández, CEO of Argentine edtech startup, Blended. Blended connects parents with their children’s schools through a digital communication platform that unifies student’s information, saving time and money.
Hernández presented his pitch in front of hundreds of entrepreneurs, mentors and investors, before receiving the $500K prize in exchange for equity to scale his business model.
“It’s a great honor to have won this global startup competition and it’s also a reflection of the quality entrepreneurs we have in Latin America. This [achievement] should help motivate those that want to be entrepreneurs to make that a reality. There’s capital available to invest in all of us, so we simply have to take the risk,” said Hernández.
Blended was one of the 12 finalists from the 62 emerging market startup winners chosen by Seedstars World in Switzerland.
