LatamList – Impactus Ventures, a Chilean social innovation platform, announced the ChildTech Challenge to promote innovation and development in childhood education in Latin America.
The competition was created in partnership with Fundación FEMSA, Amalfi Sociedad de Inversiones, IDB Lab, and Fundación Mustakis’ +Global as an open call for innovative startups and scaleups with proven solutions in health, education, and family protection and support in Latin America, the US, and Europe.
Unicef, CORFO, Startup Chile, ALLVP, Magma Partners, Endeavor, Startup Mexico, and Angel Ventures are also among the partnering organizations of the competition.
Impactus Ventures’ mission is to be a bridge between high-impact startups and the public, private, and social sectors, with a particular focus on improving the lives of Latin American children and teens leveraging tech-based solutions.
The end goal of the challenge is to implement disruptive tech solutions in the Chilean market. The selected startups will compete for the chance to win one of two prizes: the “Protection and mental health for children and teens” prize of $30K and the “Early childhood education” prize of $25K.
Over the course of six months the winning solutions will have access to additional resources such as workshops, seminars, and mentorships, media presence, and support from Impactus Ventures’ team in the execution of their project, among other benefits.
The Impactus Ventures Launch Event will take place on July 15th, 2021 at 8:30 am PST/ 10:30 am Colombia – Mexico / 11:30 am Chile.
