BBVA Mexico launches Digital Economy Fund focused on Web3 

BBVA Mexico has launched a“Digital Economy Fund” for clients to invest in NFT, metaverse, fintech, and other Web3 companies. 

In Mexico, clients will be able to invest from $2.4 dollars, and in Colombia from $4.13 dollars. This is the first investment fund focused on Web3 launched by BBVA Mexico, and it represents the incorporation of digital economy strategies into the investment portfolio. Hugo Nájera, Head of Business Development & Digital Banking at BBVA Mexico, explained:

“The digital economy will help promote economic growth and enhance opportunities to attract investment. With this strategy we seek to capture profitability for our clients based on the expansion of cloud technology, digital assets, blockchain and the new generation internet.”

Roberto Albaladejo, head of Banking for Growth Companies at BBVA, stated the following:

“We want to get to know this new technology firsthand to understand its capabilities and where the ways of relating with customers via virtual reality can evolve. This is part of our innovation strategy and our commitment to technology from different angles.”

The fund’s strategy was implemented with the participation in shares listed in the International Quotation System (SIC). The execution is designed to generate harmony between the corporate narrative, numbers, and Blockchain technology while also taking into consideration the current digital economy landscape.
