The Brazilian Central Bank recently authorized Clara to operate as a payment institution in Brazil.
With this permission, the company plans to launch a digital account that allows payments through the government’s payment processor Pix.
Clara offers corporate spend management solutions for companies in Latin America via virtual and physical business credit cards. The company serves more than 10,000 B2B clients, with 2,000 of them based in Brazil.
The company announced the relocation of its headquarters following its strategy to become Brazil’s primary market by 2024. Today, the country represents about 30% of Clara’s total payment volume (TPV).
