Ecuador’s Kriptos takes first place in Comet Competition Mexico

LatAm List – The Comet Competition is an international startup competition run by Ingram Micro, a Fortune 500 company that provides technology and cloud solutions to some of the world’s largest companies including Telefonica and Dell.

The competition brings together 40 B2B startups in each of 16 countries for a two-day pitch circuit; the winner for each country wins $100K in go-to-market capital and the opportunity to pitch for $1M at the Miami Cloud Summit in 2020. This year’s Mexico Comet Competition brought in 40 semifinalists and just 15 were chosen to pitch on the last day.

Ecuadorian cybersecurity startup, Kriptos, won first place in the competition, receiving $100K to expand their business in Mexico. Kriptos recently launched in the US market in October 2019 following a pre-seed investment from SixThirty Cyber and other strategic investors.

“We are extremely happy because Mexico is one of the most important markets for Kriptos and this capital will help us scale much faster,” commented Kriptos co-founder and CEO, Christian Torres
