Latamlist roundup April 1st – April 15th: Nubank  and Wise to launch global account in Brazil

The first half of April was packed with activity for fintechs across LatAm. Here are the product launches, partnerships, and expansions we saw in the last two weeks.

Partnerships

  1. Colombian fintech Wioba closed a partnership to integrate 123Seguro‘s car insurance policies into its wealth management platform, allowing its 51k users to choose the most suitable policy for their vehicle type, usage, and budget. Read more on LatamFintech Hub.
  2. Nubank and Wise announced they have partnered to launch a global account in Brazil, allowing Nubank’s Ultravioleta customers to sign up in advance for instant currency conversion to dollars and euros with lower fees, free international ATM withdrawals, and complimentary internet access while traveling abroad.   3. Uruguayan cross-border payment platform dLocal (NASDAQ: DLO) partnered with Papaya Global to facilitate global workforce payments across emerging markets, starting with Chile, Colombia, and Mexico in Latin America, and multiple countries in Asia and Africa.   4. Payment processor Bamboo Payment closed a partnership with fintech Nequi, allowing Bamboo’s 19 million users in Colombia to use Nequi as an instant payment method. 

Launches

  1. Finaktiva, a Colombian SME financing platform, has launched a centralized financial management solution enabling businesses to monitor their invoices, instantly consolidate financial records, and manage supplier payments in one place. Read more on LatamFintech Hub.

Other

  1. Dapta, a no-code platform for API and AI integrations, secured $1.2M in a pre-seed round led by Fen Ventures and LatinLeap to enhance product development, expand into the US market, and democratize AI for SMBs. Read more on Contxto.
