Rhino, a Brazilian startup focused on urban mobility, raised a $3.2M seed round to expand operations in Brazil. The round was led by an undisclosed European investment fund, with participation from an angel syndicate from Dubai and investors like Vitaly Bedarev, former General Manager at Uber.
Rhino provides secure rides for individuals using hybrid and electric armored vehicles, offering an alternative for users who prioritize safety. Rhino employs and trains its drivers, and rents most of its cars. Rhino rides cost, on average, 50% more than Uber.
“Companies are showing strong interest in offering safer and more comfortable transportation for executives and clients in São Paulo, and Rhino is establishing itself as the leading player for this demand,” said Daniil Sergunin, Rhino’s CEO and cofounder.
Founded in 2023 by Russians Daniil Sergunin and Alexander Karbankov, Rhino has over 150K users in São Paulo’s affluent areas and a waitlist of over 30K users anticipating its expansion to other Brazilian cities.
