The global accelerator program Startupbootcamp recently paired up with Finnovista to launch the first scaling program for fintech companies in Latin America. The program will take place in Mexico City this year.
Over 100 startups from 17 different countries applied to take part in the accelerator, but only five were chosen for the Fintech Scale program. Christine Chang, the director of the Mexico City Scale program, was thrilled about how many startups applied to scale within Latin America and sees a huge potential for the program in the future. Here are the five startups that were chosen to participate:
Billin (Spain): Free online billing system for SMEs and freelancers that allow them to process and view receipts from their clients.
Expediente Azul (Mexico): A tool to help financial and insurance institutions capture and store the documents sent by each customer, to better manage the complex communications surrounding transactions.
Facturedo (Chile): A service that helps small businesses use e-factoring to improve liquidity.
Pagamobil (Mexico): An app that allows users to pay any service online, including taxes and fines.
Quotanda (Mexico): A lending as a service platform that helps institutions provide accessible student loans.
Starting April 16th 2018, these startups will travel to Mexico City monthly to meet with advisors, mentors, and investors in an effort to scale their fintech startups in the Mexican market.
