The VC firm H20 Capital Innovation was founded in 2019 by Mauricio Porras and Daniel Lloreda, and counts with offices in Miami, Colombia and Mexico. The firm’s vision is to be involved in the growth and development of entrepreneurs and startups in which it invests.

Daniel Lloreda adds the following: “The verticals where we invest are areas that we know very well and that our network and advisors also understand perfectly because we like to be an active fund that adds value to the companies in which we invest”.

The company’s board of directors and advisor group includes important entrepreneurs and experts in key markets in the region, such as Roger Laughlin, co-founder of Kavak, the first Mexican unicorn; Javier Villamizar, operating partner of the SoftBank Vision Fund; and Ricardo Martínez Finger, co-founder of Jüsto supermarket.

“We define ourselves as an active fund, for us it is very important to help entrepreneurs in talent acquisition, go-to-market planning, support with pan-regional expansion, raising capital in underlying rounds, technical support, etc. This is how we add value” explains Mauricio Porras, co-founder and Managing Partner at H20.
