Mexican fintech Aviva raised a $5.5M seed round with investments from Credicorp’s VC arm Krealo, Ignia Partners, Carao Ventures, Rainforest Capital, DCG, Wollef, Newtopia, 500 Global, and Magna.

Aviva offers a network of kiosks where an AI-powered video bot delivers real-time credit approvals to underserved people in Mexico after a 7-minute video call.

Aviva will use the funds to enhance its product, form new distribution partnerships, and grow its kiosk network, aiming to reach 50 cities before the end of the year.

“Despite the countless attempts by fintechs and neobanks, the smartphone is not a universal solution for providing financial services to those who have not had access. It was necessary to create an unconventional solution,” said Filiberto Castro, Aviva’s Founder and Co-CEO.

Founded in 2022, Aviva has served over 50,000 clients in 26 cities in Mexico.
