Mexican marketplace Veikul raised a $3M seed round from First Check Ventures and angel investors, including Armando Véjar, Director of Grupo Autofin Monterrey.
Veikul will use the funds to enhance its technology and expand operations in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.
“We’re focused on improving process efficiency and reducing reliance on manual and operational tasks in the field, enabling rapid and effective scalability,” said Fernando Medina Bolio, Veikul’s Cofounder and COO.
Veikul is a marketplace that connects ride-hailing and delivery platforms with gig workers and provides the gig workers with a vehicle to perform the tasks. Veikul supplies both the vehicles and fuel needed, enabling drivers and couriers to earn extra income.
Founded in 2022, Veikul has 120 active independent drivers who have completed more than 300,000 trips. Veikul partners include platforms such as Mercado Libre, Envía Flores, Moova, Cubbo, Melonn, Didi, and Uber.
