Chilean foodtech Brota Superfoods secured $630K from Manutara Ventures after winning the second edition of the Manutara Ventures Challenge.
Founded by Hermann Hinrichsen and Nicolás Alfsen in 2015, Brota develops plant-based foods, using AI to enhance product development and meet the rising demand for healthy, nutrient-dense options.
With the funding, Brota will expand into the U.S. market, starting by launching in Miami.
The Manutara Ventures soft landing program, supported by CORFO and the Cambridge Innovation Center, aims to accelerate the growth of startups in Latin America.
